Promethee

Promethee was born in the spring of 2008 in Geneva, Switserland.
After only a few months of writing their first songs, the band started to play as many shows as they could, gaining allready loads of local support from bands, friends and promoters.

Now after over a year of playing shows and trying to get their name out there, they release their frist "self titled" EP, recorded over the last few months of 2009 so be sure to pick it up.

Slowly but surely the band is finding it's own personal sound and is hoping to be able to record and share new meterial as soon as possible. Promethee doesn't have a perticular political, religious, philisophical message of any kind, but writes about the things that touches and effects them in this world and through their lives with the music they create.

"As usual we are dying to play shows, anywhere possible, so hook us up if you need a band to play, we'll do our best to make it there."

Thrashy speed attacks, furious death metal massacres and energising mosh-stampedes garnished with maniac-like melodies provide an absolutely trouncing record! Always on target, Guerrilla manage to bundle all varieties of aggressive metal. The fat, juicy but crystal-clear sound is pumping the songs from deaf ears straight through the arteries of the listener. Like a suicide bomber Guerrilla are going to make you an offer you can't refuse! KICKSTART REVOLUTION is the bone-crushing, head-banging and arse-kicking answer to the problems the world is dealing with lately: Never mind metalcore, never mind the industry – Guerrilla starts where Al Qaeda stops!

Long since have the musical terrorists from Cologne proven their excellent live qualities. More than 300 concerts all over Germany and its near abroad speak for themselves. Countless club-stages and many festival gigs have been played hitherto. Guerrilla shared the limelight with a considerable number of bands, among them the likes of In Flames, Dew Scented, Soilwork, Krisiun, Grave, etc. The band is a tried and tested live-machine, which – without mercy – thrashes you into dust and kicks the shit out of the slackest arse!

Bartosz Ogrodowicz

Bartosz Ogrodowicz is a composer and instrumentalist from Poland performing progressive/symphonic rock. He is a solo artist who gives concerts in whole Poland.

His music transmitting emotions through sounds, is a journey to the deepest recesses of the human soul. His songs are inspired by life because as he admits, life is a versatile writer who gives inspiration and strength to create.

“Forsaken”- album released in autumn 2010 is a collection of songs from 2009 and 2010. The songs are instrumental compositions because there are things you cannot say or write, however you can imagine them. One asked “Why Forsaken?”, Bartosz replied that sometimes we run through the world so quickly that we forget about the important things, crucial things in our lives. These hidden and forgotten emotions and experiences are the theme of the whole album.

Former Manowar drummer Scott Columbus has past away

At the young age of 54, former Manowar drummer Scott Columbus has past away.
This was written on the facebookpage of 'Ross TheBoss Friedman':

"Scott Columbus R.I.P. my brother . I'm gonna miss you !"

RHAPSODY OF FIRE are proud to announce to the world, that the mix of “FROM CHAOS TO ETERNITY” is now at the end and that the new album will be released by Nuclear Blast on June 17th, 2011.

"It is the end of an era. This historical release will end the Rhapsody’s sagas once and for all after 15 years of fantasy oriented lyrics and for the last time we’ll hear Sir Christopher Lee narrating in one of our albums the last dramatic events of a legendary tale started in 1997 and told through 2 different sagas and 10 full length albums. We are surely very sad but we also know that for this same reason the upcoming release will remain in the history of the band for its artistic importance and unique epic!"

Formed in 1992 by Fotis Sotiropoulos and John Vasilakis after the split up of Gladiators. With the addition of Michael Smeros in vocals and Nick Dedes at drums and guest musician Aris Matheakakis at bass they started recordings for their debut.
Initially was to be released as a Tape EP under the tittle "Moments..." but finally released in 1996 as a self tittled mini CD from Metal Mad Music. In the meantime Vangelis Xatziandreou (Bass) and George Georgiou (Keyboards) had joined that band and promoted their release with live performances.

Although inactive since 1998 Fortress Under Siege continue composing and finally reunite in 2009 after several drummers replacements Spiros Zenebisis took his position behind the drums on October 2010.
Replaced in april 2011 by Giannis Dimoulas.
Spiros goes on with the band FALL OF MAN.

In December 2010 they have finished recording and mixing their new album.

Formed in 2001 and have since then developed their own style of aggressive metal. After a few concerts the band parted ways with their singer. END. continued working on their musical expression which became even more obscure, epileptic and oppressive…

In early 2004 and after many auditions, the band finally found a suitable vocalist, soon heading back out on the road to play with the likes of Gojira, JenX, Sybreed, Black Bomb A, Pelican, Sleepers and High On Fire, among others.

At the beginning of 2005 END. entered ConKrete Studio in Bordeaux to record the EP « The Never Ending Whirl Of Confusion ». The title “Beyond The Senses” was chosen to be part of the June 2005 Rock Hard sampler. Critics are unanimous as far as the musical quality of the band is concerned. END., which in a live setting feels like being crushed by a steamroller, continued spreading their name.

In the summer of 2006 they joined Jerkov Booking Agency and in December they appeared on a compilation among bands like Dagoba, Manimal and Punish Yourself.
The Metal Academy of the national radio « Le Mouv’ » put END. on the air quite regularly and named it « album of the week » during 2006.

Before going to the studio in August 2007 to record their first album, END. took part in Hellfest (Neurosis, Machine Head, Slayer…) on the Discover Stage in June.The band was also seen on local television news M6 Toulouse for this great event.
France’s END. gives the metal scene exactly what is needed – something unique, groundbreaking, and a new style of extreme to follow upon. Much like fellow homeland heroes Gojira and Hollow Corp, END. pulls off a signature sound that can immediately be picked up by the metal critics. END.’s ever evolving brand of extreme music makes for an open minded listen from start to finish. Their technicality not only stands out, but also goes towards metal’s advantage, expanding the genre.

END. delivers complex and brutal structures while at the same time adding doses of dark and apocalyptic moods, keeping you addicted. Their creativity, power, and aesthetics without a doubt will stun the metal genre.
The band decide during the year 2009 to change their band name to ERYN NON DAE.
The members of the band explain in a press release:

"There are simply too many bands with a similar name out there. Of course we would have loved to keep the name but our label pointed to us that it would be wiser to start under a new banner and they are right. The three words of ERYN NON DAE. do not only start with the initials of END., it is also a dark and eerie name that fits our music perfectly!"

At the begin 2009, Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the signing of Eryn Non Dae.
