Mike Mangini new drummer for Dream Theater

We thought already that it would be but now it is confirmed: Mike Mangini is official the new drummer for Dream Theater.

This very experienced drummer has played with bands and artists like Steve Vai, Extreme and Annihilator. He has won some awards or ended up in the top 5: W.F.D. World's Fastest Drummer, Boston's Best Drummer and All East-USA Orchestra to name a few.

He is also a great teacher in colleges, in private and even online.

At Dawn We Are Kings is a psychedelic rockband from the south of France.

Influenced by Deftones, The Doors, The Velvet Underground, Pearl Jam ,Neurosis, Alice in Chains, ..., they write their own songs with their own sound but have not signed to a label... yet!

Their first EP with 5 tracks has been released in 2011 (picture above).

Roy Khan Leaves Kamelot

Kamelot has issued the following statement on their website:

"With a heavy heart we can now announce that Roy Khan has chosen to leave the band.
We wanted to give him ample time for this kind of decision, due to his recent burnout and also the amount of amazing times we have shared with him in Kamelot. We respectfully accept his resignation from the band and wish him the best in his future endeavors. The timing is actually good since we feel the uncertainty the fans have had can now be laid to rest and the band can move on to finding a new singer. "The tour is going great so far and the fans have been amazing throughout this entire process" – adds keyboardist Oliver Palotai. With the new tour already in progress, Kamelot has already begun the search for a new vocalist. "I have a few guys in mind", said band founder Thomas Youngblood. "And as you can imagine, it is a very important decision. There are some amazing singers that have already contacted us on this but we will take our time to find the right person". Due to the overwhelming success of the recent shows in South America, we are pleased to announce new shows in November/December for Europe."

Promethee

Promethee was born in the spring of 2008 in Geneva, Switserland.
After only a few months of writing their first songs, the band started to play as many shows as they could, gaining allready loads of local support from bands, friends and promoters.

Now after over a year of playing shows and trying to get their name out there, they release their frist "self titled" EP, recorded over the last few months of 2009 so be sure to pick it up.

Slowly but surely the band is finding it's own personal sound and is hoping to be able to record and share new meterial as soon as possible. Promethee doesn't have a perticular political, religious, philisophical message of any kind, but writes about the things that touches and effects them in this world and through their lives with the music they create.

"As usual we are dying to play shows, anywhere possible, so hook us up if you need a band to play, we'll do our best to make it there."

Bartosz Ogrodowicz

Bartosz Ogrodowicz is a composer and instrumentalist from Poland performing progressive/symphonic rock. He is a solo artist who gives concerts in whole Poland.

His music transmitting emotions through sounds, is a journey to the deepest recesses of the human soul. His songs are inspired by life because as he admits, life is a versatile writer who gives inspiration and strength to create.

“Forsaken”- album released in autumn 2010 is a collection of songs from 2009 and 2010. The songs are instrumental compositions because there are things you cannot say or write, however you can imagine them. One asked “Why Forsaken?”, Bartosz replied that sometimes we run through the world so quickly that we forget about the important things, crucial things in our lives. These hidden and forgotten emotions and experiences are the theme of the whole album.
